On September 2, 2024, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the public list of the sixth batch of specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative "little giant" enterprises, with three companies in the Torch Industrial Group park nominated. In recent years, the Torch Industrial Group has focused on promoting small and medium-sized enterprises in the park to follow the path of "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" development, aiming to discover and cultivate high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises into specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative "little giant" enterprises, forming a substantial team of high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises, revitalizing the park's innovation, professionalism, precision, and specialized industrial vitality. So far, the Torch Industrial Group park has nurtured multiple "little giant" enterprises, accounting for 10 out of 12 in the district.
These "little giant" enterprises are located in core areas of industrial foundation and key links of the industrial chain, with outstanding innovation capabilities, mastery of core technologies, high market share in niche markets, and good quality and efficiency, making them the core strength of high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises. The three newly promoted "little giant" enterprises are all in the optoelectronic industry, with an average industrial total output value growth of over 10% in 2023, which will continue to inject new vitality into the optoelectronic industry cluster of the Torch High-tech Zone and contribute to accelerating the construction of the "Bay Area Optics Valley."
